Most of the care services for people with severe disabilities are covered by public expenses, but when users work, assistance for commuting and working is not covered by public expenses.

The survey will be conducted starting this week at approximately 7,500 offices nationwide that provide home-visit care services, listening to information on working conditions and needs of persons with disabilities, and summarizing the results within the next month.

Mr. Kato stated that he would like to conclude as soon as possible based on the results.

Concerning this issue, members of Reishin Shinsengumi are also requesting a review of the system to add commuting and working assistance to the public expense in order to encourage social participation of persons with disabilities.
