The mass murderer Charles Manson surrounded himself with a harem of young women. Dianne Lake was only 14 years old when she joined his sect "The Family" and thus became the youngest in the company.
The sect was made up of a number of people who committed crimes under Charles Manson's order. The most rewritten are the murders of actor Sharon Tate and her four friends, which happened in Los Angeles in 1969.
Manson and some of his supporters were later charged with a total of nine murders.
Became a key witness
During the court proceedings, Dianne Lake was given the key witness and Charles Manson was sentenced to death in 1971.
In "Skavlan", Dianne Lake says she remembers the negotiations and how scared she was before meeting Manson.
- I was afraid he would come into my consciousness and make me say or do things against my will, she says.
