The 20-year-old man has been arrested since late June on suspicion of the murder of a 69-year-old woman in Kil. Only after the arrest did the man deny the criminal charge but admitted the crime in connection with the detention hearing.
The 69-year-old woman was found dead in her home on June 27th. In interrogation, the 20-year-old, who at the time of the crime was 19, tells how he beat the woman, who was his teacher, to death.
He could be arrested near the woman's home after calling 112 himself.
The man has undergone a forensic psychiatric examination, but according to the Swedish Forensic Medicines Agency he does not suffer from a serious mental disorder.
According to his defense lawyer Anders Olsson, the 20-year-old has felt exploited by the 69-year-old woman.
The relationship between the two should have evolved into something more than just a friendly relationship. And the accused man himself has described in interrogation how the relationship developed into a sexual relationship that he felt bad about.
Prosecutor Cecilia Aronsson claims that the man, in addition to being convicted of murder, is also expelled from the country.
