Ahmed Fadl-Khartoum

After their April 11 rebellion toppled the ousted regime of President Omar al-Bashir, the Sudanese will live for the first time on October 21, the anniversary of the first revolt against the military 55 years ago, but there is still division over the call for rallies to celebrate it. in the street.

Monday marks the anniversary of the October 1964 revolution that ended the regime of former President Ibrahim Abboud, which activists say was a major inspiration for rebels in the December uprising that toppled Bashir.

According to a source speaking to Al Jazeera Net, the Field Work Committee of the Declaration of Freedom and Change, which led the protests in the December revolution, was forced to approve the organization of processions on the anniversary of October after the Communist Party anticipated the coalition's position by announcing the celebration.

The source said that representatives of the Communist Party in the field work committee did not inform the committee of the party's intention to issue a pro-Million statement on October 21 to the Council of Ministers in central Khartoum.

The platforms were filled with warnings from activists that they would not take part in the 21st of October after the support of figures affiliated with the Islamic trend to one million towards the army's general headquarters, where the massacre of the sit-in took place on 3 June, in celebration of the occasion.

Communist Reviews
But it seems that the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Siddig Yusuf reviews the party's statement, where he assured Al Jazeera Net that the October 21 million does not include a unified program or a central procession, but each city a separate program.

Youssef says that the forces of freedom and change will announce through the media the program to celebrate the anniversary of October, and that the Communist Party is part of this alliance and part of the general movement and wants to celebrate the anniversary of the October Revolution.

Regarding the desire of Islamists to celebrate the anniversary of October, he explains that his party does not support any stone on any person or party that wants to celebrate, provided that they abide by the law, saying, "They are part of the people and we are against the stone."

In its statement issued on Sunday, the Communist Party set the goals of a million to complete the slogans of the revolution by forming an international independent investigation committee to break up the sit-in, dissolve the Rapid Support Forces and achieve national sovereignty by breaking the Yemen war.

The most prominent advocates
Ammar, a carpet affiliated with Islamists as one of the most prominent advocates of the October 21 processions, told Al Jazeera Net that he does not know anyone who initiated the call to the million before.

He asserts that he has become the official spokesman for the million and will bear all its consequences, before pointing out that "there is a rare consensus between Islamists and Communists on the celebration of the October Revolution in order to correct the course of the revolution, which deviated from its goals."

The carpet attributes the decline of the forces of freedom and change and the adoption of processions to the "occupation of politics" after the Communists and the gathering of professionals that the rebels responded to the calls of millions, which means their success.

It shows that the gathering of professionals sees the anniversary as an occasion to celebrate and support the transitional government, while the Communists agreed that the goal was to correct the course of the revolution.

Demonization of a million
The carpet believes that the forces of freedom and change planned to be million on 21 October with a public identity according to the number of calls so that it is not known the size or who launched it.

He accuses the forces of freedom and change of targeting and "demonizing the million", although it is the desire of a large section of neighborhood committees, because an Islamist activist was behind the call, what the coalition, which led the revolution and a breakthrough to strike their secular program.

"So they went crazy and dealt in a rude way with the call and attributed their kitchens to me in full, but the call has withstood and received wide acceptance from the street and the rebels and confused the accounts of freedom and change."

As for the tracks and gatherings, he said that these are determined by the rebels on the ground, but what is important for him is the exit of the rebels, pointing out that there are options for Khartoum rallies before the army, cabinet and palace leadership.

Driving option
Activists, Abdullah Jafar, a foreign-based activist, ranks the first to call for the 21 millionth of October on his Facebook page, which since the beginning of this month contained no posts other than promoting the million.

Jaafar, whose account is followed by more than 28,000 people, identified the green color as a slogan for the 21 October million with a predominantly Arabic calligraphic promotion.

The activist aired videos containing instructions on the paths and the gathering of the million in front of the army command, where the sit-in that toppled Bashir.

He asked the rebels to wear green shirts next Monday when they head towards the General Command, to protect them from any possible targeting, so as not to renew the grief of the massacre of breaking up the sit-in.

On the other hand, the Resistance Committees in the neighborhoods conferred by the forces of freedom and change identified specific paths of gathering in each city of Khartoum State.
