The accident occurred at 1am the night of Wednesday at E4 north of Lagan, which lies between Ljungby and Värnamo. There are 2 trucks and a van that crashed for yet unknown reason.
"A person is seriously injured and taken to hospital," says Mattias Svensson, on-duty investigative leader at the Växjö police.
After the accident, there is a total stop in the traffic on the E4 and the traffic is diverted from Toftaholm to Hallsjö, drivers are encouraged to follow temporary signage. At 5 o'clock in the morning, the Swedish Transport Administration states that the road is expected to open again at 7 o'clock.
