• Hong Kong, Lam leaves parliament for protests: "Independence requests will not be tolerated"

16 October 2019One of the leaders of the Hong Kong protests, Jimmy Sham, was attacked by a group of five hammered men in the district of Mong Kok, on the Kowloon peninsula. He was wounded in the head.

His Chrf group said he was conscious while being taken to the hospital. This is the second time that Sham has been attacked since the protests began. The BBC reports this.
