ASVEL-Lyon started their first Euroleague campaign with a clear defeat in Kursk, 79-64, on Wednesday in Russia.

The Lyonnaises, who do not hide their ambitions of Final Four, have cracked in the last quarter (32-16) they approached with a point ahead.

Kursk is one of the big women's basketball teams. The team was European Champion in 2017 and was finalist of the last edition.

The year of the title, she had in his ranks the French Helena Ciak, who is now the pivot of the ASVEL-Lyon (14 points and best scorer of his team Wednesday).

The other two French clubs involved, Montpellier and Bourges, also lost.
