Fim Cisl General Secretary Marco Bentivogli commented on the new business plan presented by the American multinational, today at the Ministry of Economic Development: "During the meeting today the new business plan was presented. The plan contains Whirpool 513 million euros + 30 million euros already started, return of 650,000 pieces from Turkey, China and Poland, the confirmation of Italy as a center of excellence in the EMEA area where 75% of research and development investments of 90 million euros will be concentrated the year".

This is the announcement of the Fim Cisl secretary, Marco Bentivogli, who took part in the presentation of the industrial plan of the American multinational to the Ministry of Economic Development.
The new industrial plan for the Carinaro plant does not generate structural redundancies and foresees industrial missions for all the sites, increasing the average saturation of the sites from 55% to 70% and 6.25 million pieces per year, confirm the trade union forces.

The Campania factory
In Carinaro - where 1,300 workers are involved - all the activities of the EMEA area of ​​accessories and spare parts for the EU, Africa and Middle East markets will be concentrated.
"This mission will occupy all 40,000 square meters of the plant and out of 320 workers on 18 shifts (3 6-hour shifts with 5 teams from Monday to Saturday) with strong growth opportunities", underlines the FIM CISL.
"This concentration will not generate redundancies in the other sites. For Teverola, 2 million euros will be invested in scouting activities already underway for new re-industrialization activities.
