US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and called on Ankara to end the military operation in Syria. This was stated by US Vice President Mike Pence.
“President Trump made it clear that the US wants Turkey to stop the invasion, immediately cease fire and begin negotiations with Kurdish units in Syria to put an end to the violence,” the Associated Press quoted Pens as saying.
He also said that, by order of Trump, he was sent to the region.
