• Start the Targa Florio Classica, the oldest "cursa"

13 October 2019Mario Passanante and Himara Bottini on the Mafra Fiat 508 C of 1937 won the Targa Florio Classica. After three intense days of timed trials and 630 kilometers between Palermo, Agrigento and the Madonie circuit, breaking the balance with the Scuderia Targa Florio crew formed by Giovanni Moceri and Valeria Dicembre aboard a Fiat 508 C was the year of construction of the cars, discriminating to assign the victory in the event of a tie: 1937 the year of the Fiat 508 C of Passanante, while the Fiat 508 C of Moceri is from 1939.

Third place for Antonino Margiotta and Valentina La Chiana in the Volvo PV 444 of 1947.

Today was also the day of the re-enactment of the Favorita Circuit: on a track of about 35 kilometers that saw nine timed trials passing from the Chinese Palace and arriving in Piazza Verdi in Palermo, Giovanni Moceri and Valeria Dicembre won.

Many crews arrived from all over the world to take part in the Targa Florio Classica, the best placement was obtained by the Japanese Yokota Masahito and Oki Etsuko on the 1937 Lancia Aprilia who reached the thirteenth place.
