New York (dpa) - Prior to the launch of its controversial digital currency Libra, Facebook's other well-known partners are off the rack. With the online trading platform Ebay, the credit card giant Mastercard and Visa as well as the payment service Stripe four large participants announced their exit. A week ago, Paypal had already canceled its participation in the heavily criticized project. Facebook wants to make Libra available to consumers in the coming year, but the idea is sometimes met with fierce opposition from politicians and central banks.
