Prof. Amano who won the Nobel Prize in Physics Lecture at a climate change theme event October 12th, 4:22

Professor Hiroshi Amano of Nagoya University, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics 5 years ago, participated in a workshop for teachers on climate change that was opened in Sweden. I said that it is necessary to convey the importance of science.

In Stockholm, Sweden, where the Nobel Prize has been announced, a workshop for teachers on the theme of climate change was held on the 11th, with about 400 participants from around the world.

At the workshop, Prof. Hiroshi Amano of Nagoya University, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2014, gave a lecture, explaining the development of new semiconductors that can be expected to save energy using blue light-emitting diode materials.

Professor Amano also talked with students as a position to teach, and said that he was trying to think about it. I said that I have to convey the importance.

An elementary school teacher from Finland said, “The challenge is how to make children understand climate change without scaring them, and it is very helpful to listen to scientists' specialized stories.”

Prof. Amano said, “We must address the issue of climate change in the long term and how we can stimulate young people who will play a leading role.”
