The debate takes place after the first autumn budget has been presented by the Social Democrats and the Environment Party with the support of the Center Party and the Liberals.

- Now it is clear in all areas what impact the partners have for their policies and what impact the red-green government has for theirs, says Agenda's editor David Oscarsson.

Agree on the climate goals - but not the way there

On Sunday, each topic begins with two of the party leaders meeting in a duel, after which the other six are let into the debate. First out on Sunday is Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and moderate leader Ulf Kristersson in a duel on climate.

- This is an issue that has been hot in the fall with a climate meeting in New York and a new one waiting in South America. It is also a topic where the parties have different views on how to achieve the zero emission carbon dioxide target in 2045.

The choice fell on Löfven and Kristersson because they agreed on the goal, but not on the way there.

- Nuclear power or non-nuclear power, they do not agree and they have different views on the climate. The climate has such a prominent place in the public, so it will be exciting to hear the Prime Minister and the opposition leader, says David Oscarsson.

Premiere of Sabuni

The second topic of debate is migration where the Liberals' new party leader Nyamko Sabuni is opposed by Jonas Sjöstedt (V).

- The parties should try to agree on a new migration policy and we want to hear they are looking at migration in the future. This is the first time Nyamko Sabuni has joined and it is exciting to hear about wanting to see a tighter or more generous asylum policy. Jonas Sjöstedt is perhaps the party leader who most clearly wants to return to a generous refugee reception, says David Oscarsson.

The second hour of the agenda will start under the heading “shared land” and will deal with the conditions for welfare in different parts of the country.

- Annie Lööf and Jimmie Åkesson are two party leaders who both argue that they are in favor of a policy that can help the countryside but they have different recipes and views on what to invest in. It will be an exciting debate in a situation where the municipalities have great needs.

Sunday night's final topic is crime, where there is rapid change in legislation to stop gang violence. The cross-border calls on the issue were interrupted after several parties dropped out.

- Per Bolund represents the government, which did not want to go as far in terms of penalties as Ebba Busch Thor and the Christian Democrats, says David Oscarsson.

Agenda's party leader debate will be broadcast in SVT2 and on SVT Play on Sunday at 8pm.
