After 18 years of war, the situation is worse than ever in Afghanistan. During the first six months of the year, 14,000 people were killed, many of them civilians. Our correspondent Samir Abu Eid and photographer Niclas Berglund are in Kabul and in the above report meet the people who worry deeply about the security situation in the country.
Teacher Maliha Jahangir says she avoids streets with a lot of people because there is a risk of explosions and suicide attacks.
"Everyone is making escape plans if the Taliban return and their security situation deteriorates," she says.
