The president of Citizens, Albert Rivera, has again requested a "state meeting" from Pedro Sánchez to "talk about what unites us", such as "solving the problem in Catalonia."

In that meeting, Rivera explained that he will ask Sánchez to "rectify" and "support the motion of coexistence" that Cs has registered against Quim Torra in the Parliament of Catalonia. In addition, Rivera wants to speak with the president of the Government in functions of "the application of the Constitution in Catalonia, the National Security Law or whatever it takes."

The liberal leader has made a statement in which he has not admitted questions to the Madrid Assembly before meeting with his regional deputies. In it, he has accused Pedro Sánchez of being "next to Torra" and has reminded him that "he has made a mistake of alliances."

He then demanded that he "rectify" and support the motion of censure that Lorena Roldán will defend next Monday in the Parliament and that they have no chance of prospering. To be approved, it would need the support of Cs, PP, PSC, the commons and the CUP or of deputies from Junts per Catalunya or Esquerra Republicana.

Rivera has explained that Cs has been "in a position of leadership" to "defend the union and equality of the Spanish" by presenting what he calls the "motion of coexistence."

The Catalan deputy has added that he does not understand how "the PSOE is not with citizens". "While Sanchez is in front of Cs and next to Torra," he said, "it is impossible to recover the dialogue."

Therefore, he has extended his hand to maintain that encounter in which the rest of the constitutionalist parties could be.

After the appearance, Rivera has been asked about the possibility of the Government applying the National Security Law in Catalonia. The president of Cs, who did not want to answer questions, has been forced to say that this is precisely what he would like to study with Pedro Sánchez at that meeting.
