The United Arab Emirates' drones belonging to retired brigade Khalifa Hifter launched air strikes on the administrative headquarters of Sirte Industrial Investment Authority in Sirte, causing material damage to the building.

According to sources speaking to the island, the intensification of air raids on the positions of the Wefaq forces in the city of Sirte comes as a prelude to a ground attack planned by Hifter's forces to take control of the city east of the city of Misrata, which is under the control of the government forces.

The same sources confirmed that these airstrikes aimed at forcing the fighters of the Wefaq forces to retreat from their positions in favor of the armed forces of Hifter forces.

The sources told the island that two military commanders belonging to Haftar belonging to the "Ahrawah" east of Sirte, supervised the preparation of a field hospital in the area of Ben Jawad adjacent to the city of Sirte to the east to accommodate the wounded after the attack.

The sources said that the two officers set up camps in the towns of Ras Lanuf and Brega, located in the area of the oil crescent, where the number of armed Sudanese and Chadian opposition movements will participate in the attack on Sirte.
