On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC), President Xi Jinping will attend a military parade on Tuesday, October 1, which is intended to be grandiose. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) will for the first time exhibit weapons with unprecedented capabilities. Beijing intends by this means to demonstrate the modernization of its arsenal.

Fifteen thousand soldiers, 580 tanks and over 160 fighter jets, for a spectacular parade, but not only. The People's Liberation Army intends to take advantage of the event to show the world its great leap forward.

New ballistic missiles, made in China and operational, should be unveiled. In the forefront of which the missile DF41, never presented to the general public. Particularly fast, it can carry 10 nuclear warheads and travel up to 14,000 kilometers covering the entire US territory.

Another novelty: the DF17, it is a launcher on which is placed a hypersonic glider, a delta wing, equipped with a conventional or nuclear charge, able to evolve at an extreme speed. The craft could thwart enemy missile systems. Stealth and hypersonic drones designed to identify targets before a strike should also appear.

If Beijing denies wanting to show its muscles, the message sent to the international community is unambiguous. By exhibiting such an arsenal, China intends to demonstrate that it is at the forefront of global innovation and that its troops have never been so well endowed.
