Several warmlanders who have responded to SVT Nyheter's road survey agree that E18, E45 and road 26 are the most risky in Värmland.

”Road 26 from Kristinehamn south towards Gullspång. Very heavy traffic, extra traffic during school holidays. Very much game, especially moose, very many game accidents, upsetting is that there are no warning signs for moose! Which is very strange, many accidents could probably have been avoided. VERY bad by the Swedish Road Administration ”- Monica

“Given the traffic intensity, the E45 is the most dangerous, especially between Fagerås and Sunne. It is narrow and partly goes through buildings where people walk, bike and rest dogs. This is the main route north through Värmland with both heavy traffic and tourists, not least ski tourists to the mountain world. ”- Hans

”Road 26 Kristinehamn - Sjötorp. Weak road, many make dangerous detours. ”- Lennart

"Skitväg!"

Several also agreed with truck driver Jenny Krogh that road 172 feels unsafe.

"... What would it be like if Route 172 were to be signposted according to the curves, road conditions and drivers' skill ..? Max 30km / h the entire distance ..?
I really hope no truck driver tries to keep the maximum sign speed fully loaded! ” - Leif

“It is swinging all the way down to a mile before Bengtsfors. Crowded and twisty! We avoid that road as much as we can when we drive a bus down to Gothenburg. Dirty road! ”- Kai

Customized driving is required

Some comments are that the driver has their own responsibility to keep the speeds and adjust the driving.

“Signage 70 does not mean that you MUST drive at that speed, you get MAX to drive 70. You should never drive faster than you can stop if an obstacle appears in your field of view.
The reporters seem to think that the state should fix everything! ” - Anders

"There is actually nothing wrong with the roads, you have to adapt the speed to the prevailing conditions" ... "Regardless of the dosage of a curve, it does not prevent the cause in more than 90% of all accidents is between the steering wheel and the backrest. This is also where efforts are needed to reduce injuries and deaths in traffic. ”- Tj
