Emmy Award-winning British screenwriter and actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge has signed a major new deal with Amazon after the resounding success of her "Fleabag" series at the latest awards on American television.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, also creator of the spy series "Killing Eve" and called to the bedside of the script of the 25th installment of the adventures of James Bond, confirmed Sunday night his status as queen of comedy.

"Fleabag", a production of the studios of Amazon and the BBC, triumphed at the Emmys, winning six statuettes including the prize for best comedy and "best actress" for its creator "PWB".

The 34-year-old assured Tuesday was "excited" to have anchored this new deal with Amazon, estimated at about $ 20 million a year for three years, by the Hollywood media.

"Working with the team on + Fleabag + was a dream creative partnership, I felt at home," she wrote in a statement, adding, "I can not wait to get started."

The director of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke, praised Ms. Waller-Bridge with praise, calling her "intelligent, brilliant, generous and virtuoso on many fronts, including writing, gaming and production."

According to the announcement, Phoebe Waller-Bridge will create and produce new TV content exclusively for the Amazon Prime streaming platform, without further details or confirmation of the amount of the deal.

In "Fleabag", Phoebe Waller-Bridge offers an explosive cocktail of humanity without filter, with irreverent humor, sex, darkness, but nothing free.

But it's probably over after two seasons, she hinted.

"I have the fantasy of resuscitating + Fleabag + when I turn 50," she said in early August.
