The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced a worker to two months in prison and a fine of 5000 dirhams suspended in addition to deportation for stealing two mango beans worth 6 dirhams from a fruit box belonging to a passenger through Dubai airport.

The defendant confessed in the Public Prosecution investigation that he had been working as a baggage handler since February 2017 at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. Two grains and eat them and then loaded the box.

An inspector at the passenger terminal said he monitored the theft through cameras and the suspect was called and searched his house to make sure he did not steal other things, but found nothing and confirmed that this is the only time he committed this act.

The defendant before the Criminal Court denied the crime of theft, but the court convicted him and sentenced him to imprisonment and fined 5000 dirhams suspended and deported.
