Slovenia created the sensation by eliminating defending Russia in the quarter-finals of the European Volleyball Championship at home in Ljubljana on Monday night with a 3-1 victory (25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-21).
For a place in the final in Paris on Sunday, the Slovenes, vice-champions of Europe in 2015 to the surprise, will face Poland, double world champion in title (2014 and 2018), Thursday (20h30 / 18H30 GMT) still ahead his audience from the Stozice Arena.
