“I’m glad to be in Damascus again ... I look forward to meeting with Foreign Minister Muallem on Monday,” the special envoy said on Twitter.
He noted that since his last visit to Damascus, he has made "some progress" in the formation of the constitutional commission.
In late August, Pedersen announced that the constitutional committee of Syria was almost formed.
