Prince Harry and his wife Megan joined many celebrities on Friday for the wedding of fashion designer Misha Nuno in a 17th-century Italian villa overlooking Rome.

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner traveled from the United States to join the list of prominent attendees that included singer Katy Perry, her boyfriend Orlando Bloom, British TV presenter James Corden, British princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

Nuno, who was born in Bahrain and lives in the United States, is to marry US oil magnate Michael Hess at a ceremony at the elegant Villa Aurelia.

Nuno is credited with introducing Prince Harry to Megan in 2016. Harry and Megan married last year and had their first child in May. British media said they did not bring her child to Rome for the wedding today.

Local media say the wedding will continue on Saturday with a ceremony scheduled to take place in Cinecitta, Italy's largest film studio on the southeastern outskirts of Rome.
