September 20, 2019Concerto in France for the discovery of alleged "wild" clinical trials in Poitiers, in the New Aquitaine region. Molecules with unknown effects have been tested on at least 350 Parkinson's or Alzheimer's patients, partly hospitalized in the Sainte-Croix abbey.

This morning, Health Minister Agnès Buzyn, interviewed by France Inter radio, said of a "heavy mistake" and said she was "distraught and horrified" at what had happened, promising sanctions.

The French drug agency (Afm) has filed a complaint. The "wild" tests were conducted within the framework of the Fonds Josefa structure, of which one of the main culprits is Professor Henri Joyeux, already criticized by the scientific community above all for its anti-vaccine positions. Interviewed by the French press, the latter assured that what happened "has nothing to do with a clinical test".

The news was released just the day before World Alzheimer's Day, which is celebrated tomorrow September 21st.
