The 4th Middle East International Dermatology and Cosmetic Conference (MEEDAM 2019) discussed during its second day in Dubai, communication technologies and artificial intelligence in medical education, revealing that spending on cosmetic surgery in the UAE is increasing by 15-17% annually, which is the global rates According to the consultant of dermatology and cosmetology, Dr. Khaled Al-Nuaimi, chairman of the conference, he pointed to the introduction of modern state-of-the-art devices that eliminate white hair, which is one of the latest trends in cosmetic procedures.

Al-Naimi said in a statement on the sidelines of the conference that cosmetic services are divided into two parts: the first is cosmetic surgery, such as tummy tuck and other operations, which is the lowest rate, while leading non-surgical procedures, such as «Botox, Filler, threading face, and chemical peels» The list of cosmetic procedures is up to 70%, and it is getting bigger and much faster than surgical procedures.

He said that the beauty market in the country has recently witnessed a new device to eliminate white hair for the first time, launched for the first time during the conference, and new laser devices for slimming, wound healing and treatment, as well as for the treatment of chronic ulcers.

About 1,000 doctors and specialists from 40 countries, along with 30 pharmaceutical companies and medical supplies, will participate in the 4th Middle East International Dermatology and Cosmetic Medicine Conference and Exhibition - Midam 2019.

The President of the Conference, Dr. Khalid Al-Nuaimi, pointed out that the most common surgeries around the world are breast augmentation by 15.6%, followed by liposuction 14.6%, eyelid surgery 12.5%, rhinoplasty 8.1%, laparoscopy 7.5%, and breast lift 6.1 Face fat (5.6%), breast reduction (4.5%), facial beauty (4.3%), and fat transfer to enlarge the buttocks (3.1%).
