After the enticing 4-3 in the league on Sunday, Monaco and Marseille will meet to form the poster of the Cup of the League Cup in late October, according to the draw held Thursday night.
Three other matches between Ligue 1 teams are scheduled: Metz-Brest, Bordeaux-Dijon and Amiens-Angers.
Bourg-en-Bresse, last survivor of National 1, will move on the ground of Reims.
The matches will be played on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October. The six "European" clubs will compete from the eighth finals on 18 and 18 December.
This edition of the Coupe de la Ligue will be a milestone, the professional football league having decided Wednesday to "suspend" this season's 25-year-old competition.
