Dubai Police uncovered the circumstances of the “lost child” incident, a 5-year-old Asian woman who claimed to have found her at Al Reef Mall and handed him over to Al Muraqqabat Police Station. The director of Al Muraqqabat police station, Brigadier General Ali Ghanem, said that a woman came to the center with the child and claimed that she had found him lost near Al Reef Mall and decided to bring him to the center after noticing that he had been alone for a long time.

He added that «a team was formed to search and investigate the identity of the child and the identity of his parents, and appealed to members of the public to help us identify (lost child) through the publication of his image on social networks and various media», pointing out that «someone responded and informed us by phone knowledge of the child and watch him with "An Asian woman living in Sharjah was arrested in coordination with Sharjah police."

Ghanem pointed out that the woman reported that the child is not her son but belongs to another woman with a nationality born five years ago, and asked her to take care of him briefly for wanting to travel home and return quickly, but she did not return again, pointing out that she does not know any address to communicate With her at home, or her phone number, or a way to communicate with her parents and relatives, which prompted her to embrace and raise the child in the hope of her return but did not.

He explained that the woman took care of the child for five years without informing the competent authorities, until she reached a stage that she was no longer able to keep because of her inability to provide his personal requirements, especially his need for education and health care, which led her to consult a friend about how to behave. By giving it to another woman to raise him.

The woman stated that she handed him over to a third woman in Al Muteena area within the jurisdiction of Al Muraqqabat police station, his last branch for a short period and then decided to get rid of her.He consulted one of her friends who advised her to fabricate the story of finding him and hand him over to Al Muraqqabat police station and submit a report.

Ghanem said Dubai police had subjected the four women involved in the case, "who kept the child and their friends," to DNA testing for verification. The result was negative, and none of them showed the biological mother of the child.

He confirmed that the Dubai Police referred the child to the hospital and conducted the necessary medical tests for him, and found that he is in good health, and then handed him to the Dubai Foundation for the care of women and children to provide the necessary support and care, while referring the four women involved in the case to the Dubai Public Prosecution to take legal action Inject them.
