It is on the scenery of a sunny dawn that opened on Thursday the Fendi fashion show on the third day of Milan fashion week with a large audience in its showroom transformed into a light bridge.

A spring / summer 2020 women's collection entirely created by Silvia Venturini Fendi, left alone in charge of the women's ready-to-wear label of the Roman brand following the death of Karl Lagerfeld last February.

"The emotion is still great, it's my first women's collection without Karl, it's part of Fendi, 54 years with us are obviously important," said the stylist behind the scenes.

Lagerfeld's collaboration with the Roman house, begun in 1965, represents a record of longevity in the history of fashion.

"This sunny setting is one day that begins, new pages to write but it is also the excitement of a summer day," continued Silvia Venturini Fendi.

The palette of the collection is bright, brilliant, solar. Natural materials, such as organic cotton, mingle with technical fabrics, sponge, fur.

The looks breathe the 60s? the soundtrack of Hair Let the Sunshine In and the finale on Aquarius reinforce this Sixties fragrance: large collars, large flower patterns, cardigans in big stitch, and quilting. A kaleidoscope of textures remixed with the codes and craftsmanship of the house.

"Lagerfeld's teaching, for so many years, has come into the hearts of everyone, all the family who have learned to work with him, but he has taught us to do it without him, as know how to transmit the great masters, so we continue, happy, "commented AFP Serge Brunschwig, president and CEO of Fendi, on the sidelines of the event.
