- Protest: Two deputies of Podemos, wounded in a confrontation between police and workers in Alcoa
On March 28, more than a hundred workers from the Avilés (Asturias) and A Coruña (Galicia) Alcoa plants demonstrated in front of the Congress of Deputies to request a solution that guarantees the continuity of the company's activity and request the Minister of Industry to avoid its closure. The deputies of United Podemos Yolanda Díaz, Antón Gómez Reino and Rafael Mayoral attended the rally. Now, a court in Madrid investigates them for an alleged crime of "attack on authority."
During the demonstration there were moments of tension between members of the National Police and the deputies. "They have beaten us, they have all thrown us on the ground, including myself, that a policeman has hit me," Yolanda Díaz said.
