- We need to co-finance a bridge that runs roughly between Tystberga and the E4, and then the new Ostlänk will cut off there, says Jan Fredrik Högberg, infrastructure strategist at Region Sörmland.

Nyköping Municipality and Region Sörmland will push to SEK 2.8 million each to widen the future bridge so that a pedestrian and bicycle route will be provided. The agreement regarding the financing of the bridge will be discussed at the regional development board meeting tomorrow, Friday.

A total of 200 new bridges and 30 tunnels will be built along the Ostlänk, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.

Great landowner

- Well, that's the future, the railroad. But there are always some who are affected and I am one of them. But just accepting and making the best of the situation. The uncertainty is when, now you have waited for 20 years for this and you can hope that you do not wait as long, says Sölve Westerberg, landowner in Tystberga.

Is there something you have to say about?

- There will be consultation afterwards as it starts to approach construction. But now it's not so much. It is probably more when they start getting started, then it is probably easier to be included in the final planning. But if you have so much to say about it, I don't know.
