US Fed cuts rates by 0.25%

The Federal Reserve, as expected, cuts interest rates by 0.25 percentage points in the range of 1.75% to 2%. This is the second intervention in this sense, after that of the end of July, the first for ten years now. This was announced at the end of the FOMC meeting, the operational arm of the Fed.
