The Director of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Abdulaziz Al-Jarwan, said that the Department of Transport Activities Control has released 10,191 violations of the illegal operation of vehicles since the beginning of the year until mid-August.

He stressed that the Authority is keen to address all violations of the illegal operation of vehicles and the elimination of all violations that harm the public interest and endanger the lives of individuals and property, through periodic campaigns for employees of the Authority, in addition to awareness campaigns and education to the public, while providing the best and the highest services to transport users, pointing out. The Department of Transportation Activities Control has organized 53 campaigns through its 39 field officers who have the status of judicial officers.

Al Jarwan explained that the campaigns covered various areas of Sharjah city and the central region, especially in labor accommodation sites and areas where there are many markets and industrial areas, stressing that the violations are dealt with according to deterrent penalties, where the value of the urban violation for the first time 5000 dirhams in case of repetition Violations in absentia amount to 10,000 dirhams, and circulation to the violating vehicles and drivers through the traffic regulations in the country until the payment process.
