March 14, 2019A slab of a pedestrian bridge floor in Mumbai has collapsed near the terminal of the central station: the area is manned by the police who try to remove passers-by to allow the intervention of rescuers, but chaos essentially reigns.

At least 4 people died and 28 others were injured. The local government reports this.

The bridge was not in bad shape - underlined Vinod Tawde, Maharashtra's minister - but minor repairs were in progress; it is not clear why it was not closed.
