The corresponding statement was distributed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR.

"Statements that Ukraine does not intend to grant special status to Donbass and to enshrine it in the country's constitution are direct evidence of the intentional sabotage of a peaceful settlement, which consists precisely in resolving political issues that have become the cause of the conflict," RIA Novosti quoted Nikonorov as saying.

According to her, the Set of measures to resolve the conflict clearly established the need for amnesty, as well as the prevention of prosecution of persons who participated in the events in the Donbass.

It also contains an obligation to grant Kiev a special status for Donbass and consolidate it in the Constitution, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR declared.

Earlier, Pristayko said that Kiev will not amend the Ukrainian Constitution regarding the granting of special status.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added that the Minsk Agreements say that Ukraine will have a legislative reform “based on decentralization”.
