The UAE continued its field efforts to relief the people of Wadi Hadramawt in Yemen, and intensified the assistance of the people in the Directorate of Tarim, while a delegation from the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, visiting the island of Socotra, Yemen, distributed 11 tons of toys, gifts and stationery to the children of the island, a gift from the children of the UAE.

The children of the island received this initiative with joy and joy, appreciating the valuable assistance provided by the wise leadership in the United Arab Emirates, and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, to the people of Yemen in general and to the people of Socotra Island in particular.

This came during a visit of a delegation from the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood headed by the Secretary General of the Council, Al-Reem Abdullah Al-Falasi, to the island of Socotra, Yemen, where the children of the island expressed great joy at the presence of the delegation who brought them these games and stationery, which they said came at the time, with the beginning of the school year Parents and children lack such tools to help them complete their education.

Reem Abdullah Al Falasi said that thanks to HH the Emir of the UAE for this pioneering humanitarian initiative, which was directed to collect toys and stationery gift from the children of the UAE to the children of Yemen, launched by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood over the past two months.

She added that wooden boxes for collecting toys, gifts and stationery were placed by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in front of commercial centers and malls all over the country. The council called on children and their parents to provide aid and donate toys, gifts and stationery to the children of Yemen. And stationery so far.

She pointed out that a private cargo plane transported these toys and stationery, where the delegation of the Council distributed to the children of Yemen in Socotra, coinciding with the start of the new school year.

The delegation of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood included members of the Consultative Council for Children headed by its President, Salama Saif Al-Tunaiji, Vice-President of the Advisory Council for Children, Haitham Mohammed Al-Kindi, Council Rapporteur, Dima Juma Al-Darmaki, and the members of the Council: Rashid Khalid Al-Suwaidi, Ibrahim Ayoub Al-Awadi, Aisha Nasser Al-Ali and Maryam Omar. The UAE Red Crescent team distributed 650 food parcels at a rate of 52 tons and 520 kilograms, targeting 3,250 members of poor and needy families in the areas of Thubi, Al Badaa, Ramla, Al Rahba, Al Souq and Al Mahdhira.

It is noteworthy that the number of food baskets, which have been distributed since the beginning of the year of tolerance, reached 27,394 food baskets, an average of 2,213 tons and 435 kilograms, targeting 136,970 members of needy and affected families in the governorate of Hadramout.
