“I am very cautious about the issue of peacekeepers in the Donbass. I know that in the past authorities these issues and structures were discussed, how to implement a peacekeeping mission. I’m careful because I don’t want Abkhazia’s scenario or Transnistria in Donbass, ”Zelensky quotes Interfax as saying.
He opposed the need for peacekeepers to stand on the line of demarcation of the parties in the Donbass, and stressed that he favored their deployment on the state border of Ukraine and Russia.
Zelensky also said that the end of the armed conflict in the Donbass is possible only with the help of diplomacy.
