The UAE Embassy in New Zealand has called on all citizens wishing to travel or pass through New Zealand's airports to fill out an electronic visa application at least 72 hours before traveling, via (nzeta.immigration.govt.nz) or through the smart app (NZeTA).

The embassy said through a tweet posted on its account on social networking sites «Twitter», it will take effect from the first of October next.

New Zealand has announced the introduction of new procedures as of early October, under which all citizens of visa-exempt countries must register 72 hours before travel and obtain a 'pre-electronic travel authorization'. This procedure includes all nationals of visa-exempt countries, including The European countries and not only the Gulf countries, and for registration there are two ways either through a web browser or through an application. The e-permit is valid for two years and the holder can enter New Zealand more than once.

The application fee is NZ $ 9, the registration process takes less than five minutes, and if it is submitted via a web browser, the fee is NZ $ 12, in addition to the NZ $ 35 visit and tourism tax.

Registration requires a passport valid for at least three months, a credit card to pay the fees, an e-mail, and a photograph taken by mobile phone.

New Zealand is on the list of countries exempting UAE nationals from the visa and is granted a 90-day visit.

The Passport Index, the global index, said that the UAE passport tops the first place in 177 countries around the world, including 118 countries without a visa and 59 countries upon arrival, after the UAE passport finally received a visa exemption to the Republic of Namibia.

According to the Index Index of Arton Capital, a global financial consultancy, Finland, Luxembourg and Spain have 168 passport-free countries, and Denmark, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea and Ireland.
