The Council affirmed the need to renew the mandate given to UNRWA in accordance with its resolution (General Assembly Resolution 302 (1949)) and to call on all UN member states to support the renewal of this mandate at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, and to refuse to prejudice the mandate.
