The Dubai Criminal Court has begun the trial of an Arab and his friend, an employee of another Arab nationality who detained a woman in her apartment in Dubai, after being closed by the outside door, causing her to commit suicide by throwing herself from the third floor and her death. The felony of an assault on the freedom of a person unlawfully resulting in the death of the victim.
An eyewitness living in the same apartment said that the second defendant was the last person in the apartment with the victim, who closed the door.
The forensic report revealed that the suicide was not under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of death, and that she suffered severe injuries to the head, chest, abdomen and internal bleeding, resulting from the impact of solid objects.
The investigation did not reveal the motives for the defendants to close the door on the woman, and the trial sessions will reveal it.
