The IDF press service said on Twitter that two rockets from Gaza were launched towards the Israeli port cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon.
Both were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
Earlier it was reported that Israel struck at launching a drone from the Gaza Strip.
