The number of beneficiaries of marriage grants since the beginning of this year until the end of last August, 1448 beneficiaries have received 101 million and 360 thousand dirhams, in the aid disbursed to the eligible young people who are getting married, according to statistics announced by the Ministry of Community Development.
Wahida Khalil Darwish, Director of the Ministry of Marriage Grant, said that the marriage grant provided by the Ministry of Community Development reflects the interest and keenness of our wise leadership to build a stable and balanced family and the vision of the UAE government to maintain cohesive families and a cohesive society. She said that the disbursement of grants comes within the framework of the development efforts adopted by the ministry based on its mission to improve social work to achieve social cohesion through the development of integrated policies and the provision of distinctive and innovative social services.
She pointed out that the marriage grants provided by the Ministry to young citizens who are going to marry, fall into two parallel parts, the first is to provide financial support to help young people financially to meet the costs of marriage and secure its requirements, and the second is in the awareness aspect, which is of great importance, where the Ministry has undertaken to educate the next To marry aspects of family life after marriage and how to build a safe and stable family.
She said that the service of marriage grants provided by the Ministry of Community Development, aims to provide material support for those who are getting married, in order to contribute to the formation of a cohesive and stable Emirati family, and to achieve the vision of a cohesive society based on the conditions and controls of the grant that contribute to the promotion of marriage to citizens.
She explained that the financial grant provided by the Ministry to young couples has clearly contributed to the construction of Emirati families away from the banking obligations, which often constitute a concern for young people who are getting married, and this grant has played a role in strengthening the cohesion of the UAE family, and instill the values of loyalty and belonging to this country This has given our young people all the support to form a happy and stable family away from the high cost and boast, in order to strengthen the dual material saving and family stability.
