Nigeria repatriates nearly 600 nationals after xenophobic violence in South Africa

The riots of the last days have caused emotion and anger throughout Africa. Some 600 Nigerians must be repatriated after the wave of xenophobic violence in South Africa, which has killed 10 people since last week, said Monday the Nigerian consul posted in Johannesburg.

"They are about 600 now" to have gone to the consulate to ask to be repatriated to Nigeria, told AFP Godwin Adamu. "The airline Air Peace will start evacuation on Wednesday with the first 320," he added.
