In early July, two women were abused by the man in connection with a conflict in an apartment in Västerås. The noise caused the man to grab hold of one woman's arm. When the other woman tried to stop him, he took the same grip on her.

A police officer who came to the scene felt that the women were in pain and were afraid.

The violence continued

A few weeks later, the man accused one woman of being unfaithful to him. The charges came more often and she decided to record one of the phone calls they had. The man swore, threatened, and said he was going to "infidelity" on her.

The day after the phone call, the trio were in the apartment. The woman's friend heard the man threaten her several times before leaving the apartment in the evening. Shortly thereafter, the man put the woman down in bed and forced her to sex in several different ways. The woman tried to fight back.

Before they were seen, she had sent a text message to the man where she wrote that she did not want to lie with him.

The woman had previously reported the man for rape but the case was then closed. It took a while before she told her friend about the incident, but was then persuaded to make a report.

The recorded telephone conversation, the messages to the man, the friend's testimony and the woman's own story form the basis of the court's judgment. They mean that the man could not have avoided that the woman did not want to have sex with him. They also write that her story, unlike his, is "clear and coherent".

The man says he can sound harsh in affect and didn't mean what he said in the recorded phone call. He also claims that the woman wanted sex with him and did not say no.

In addition to prison, the man is sentenced to pay damages to the woman of SEK 121,880. He will also pay SEK 6250 to the friend for the abuse in the apartment.
