The hailstorm costs tens of millions

It was in June that a heavy hailstorm hit Lidköping. Hail big as golf balls hit and destroyed a large number of cars and buildings.

Now P4 Skaraborg reports that the storm has become one of the largest insurance cases ever for Länsförsäkringar.

- It is about costs for several tens of millions of SEK, says the damage manager in Skaraborg, Ulf Lindholm, to the radio channel.

Only Länsförsäkringar has over 2,000 claims and many of the cases are just severely damaged cars. According to Ulf Lindholm, the disaster is comparable - if not greater - than the damage after the Gudrun storm that caused devastation in 2005.
