Earlier, RIA Novosti, citing a source in EU structures, reported that EU Permanent Representatives agreed on a six-month extension of sanctions against Russia.
Later, the former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko also said that the EU agreed to extend sanctions against Russia.
He thanked the European partners and friends of Ukraine, who firmly support the "struggle to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity."
