Now is the time to vote on the seven wonders of Western Sweden. Västarvet, a management in the Västra Götaland region's natural and cultural heritage, has for 49 weeks nominated a miracle each in the region's municipalities. With the public's tip, cultural heritage in the municipalities has been highlighted, various environments created by people.

- There have been a lot of tips, over 100, it's very fun that people are engaged. When it becomes a competition it usually engages more, but we are very happy that we have received so much tips from the public and we have also received tips after the nominations are completed. We have everything from 5000-year-old megalithic tombs to industrial premises from the 1970s that have affected society and people, says Anna Härdig, digital communicator at Västarvet.

She says that the tips that come in later are not among the nominees but are included in a list that the public can access. In some municipalities, the issue has been more involved, but almost everyone has received tips.

The wonders are presented at the end of the week

- In some cases it has been difficult to choose one. We have tried to choose more based on what is specific to this particular site than what is most beautiful. There are many castles and mansions, but we have tried to pick out the cultural heritage that says something about that geography in that municipality and which has meant something to the people and society there, says Anna Härdig.

Until Thursday morning, you can vote on the Cultural Heritage facebook page. The seven wonders will be presented on Sunday, September 8.

- Our hope is that you can discover new things in your immediate area or learn more about a place you already know. We have received a lot of feedback from people that they have not known or visited these places during the summer so it is very fun. Then the competition is not about which is the best, but more about what we can highlight in the region, says Anna Härdig.
