US actor Kevin Hart was hospitalized on Sunday with "serious back injuries" after a car accident, according to California authorities.
The California Highway Patrol report states that the 40-year-old actor was occupying the passenger seat of his 1970s Plymouth Barracuda on the Mulholland Expressway in Los Angeles County.
The driver, identified as Jared Black, lost control of the vehicle that turned into a roadside ditch.
Black, 28, and third car occupant, model Rebecca Brosterman, were stuck in the car.
"Hart and Black sustained serious back injuries in this collision and were transported to a nearby hospital," the report said.
It is unclear what injuries the two men suffer.
The 31-year-old, who is Jared Black's fiancée, was not injured.
According to the analyzes, Jared Black did not drink or use drugs.
Kevin Hart, comedian and comedian, is known for his roles in the films "Jumanji" or "Almost Secret Agents".
He hit the headlines last December when he was chosen to present the Oscars, but he had to give up after the resurgence of old tweets deemed homophobic.
