Agents of the Mossos d'Esquadra have denounced a 50-year-old man who circulated on the C-33 motorway at 263 kilometers per hour in sections where the maximum speed was 120 kilometers. The regional police adds the aggravating fact that he drove with one hand and videotaped with a mobile phone.
The driver, a neighbor of Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) and of Spanish nationality, spread the video on social networks, explained Thursday from the Mossos d'Esquadra. That end allowed researchers to initiate the steps to identify the vehicle and its identity.
The suspect was denounced last Monday, August 26, for a crime against traffic safety, for driving at a criminally punishable speed, since he reached 263 kilometers per hour on a road where the maximum speed allowed is 120 km / h and 90 km / h on the toll section.
Sources close to the case have highlighted that the analysis of the images and the efforts made by the agents allowed them to clarify that the route through which the vehicle was traveling was the C-33. In addition, they managed to determine the kilometric point, the day and time of the events, the car model and the driver's identity.
