28 August 2019There are at least 23 people died and 13 others were seriously injured last night by a fire that broke out in a bar in the port city of Coatzacoalcos, in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The news office of the country's attorney general gave the news.

According to a first police report the bar 'Canallo Blanco', which is located in the city port, was attacked by strangers who threw Molotov cocktails.

The victims, we learn, are 15 men and eight women, while many of the 13 wounded are in serious condition. The Mexican Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) is already working to trace the perpetrators of the attack, while the governor of the southern state of Veracruz, CuitláhuacGarcía, spoke of a "sneaky crime" that "will not go unpunished".
