Yemeni security sources said that the security belt forces and the forces of the Transitional Council backed by the United Arab Emirates regained control of the coastal city of Shaqra in Abyan province and the camp of Qarn Mklassi, hours after the government forces took control of them.

The sources stated that fierce clashes broke out between the two parties after the arrival of large reinforcements of the transitional forces and the security belt coming from the city of Aden, which managed to regain control of the city and the camp to the west of it, while the government forces withdrew to the Arqoub mountain range overlooking Shakra from the side. Eastern.

Meanwhile, security belt and transitional council forces deployed checkpoints on streets and roads in the southern Yemeni province of Aden.

Local sources said clashes took place between the security belt forces and their opponents in the city of Dar Saad in Aden.

The army had announced Tuesday morning control of the city and the camp without resistance from the forces of the Transitional Council and the security belt.

On Monday, the command of the Fifth Infantry Brigade, based in the Mudiya district of Abyan, announced its allegiance to the legitimate government of Yemen.

Government forces had taken full control of the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province, and all of its 17 districts, days after battles against the Shabwani elite and the UAE-backed Transitional Council.

The government forces announced last Saturday to tighten their full control over Ataq and all the roads leading to it, and control of three camps where the elite Shabwani forces were stationed in the vicinity of the city.

An important message from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ahmed al-Maisari to the leader of the security belt militia in Abyan to hand over the remaining camps and weapons to the state and will be absorbed with the troops and gives the promise of a state that no one will be broken into the house or the dignity of anyone will be safe. pic.twitter.com/yJiu4dnsrM

Call to surrender
Earlier on Tuesday, Yemeni Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ahmed al-Maisari called on the commander of the UAE-backed security belt in Abyan province Abdul Latif al-Sayyed to inject blood and not resist government forces seeking to regain control of the rest of Abyan province.

Al-Maissari said in an audio recording that government forces would enter the city of Zanzibar, calling on the commander of the security belt forces to avoid more bloodshed.

Al-Maysari vowed to protect Abdul Latif al-Sayyed and not to compromise his forces. He said the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council planned to flee Aden by taking out weapons.

He would not leave the Master, and he would work on his future status, and he should not miss this opportunity.
